The route runs along the D200 coast through Umag and Buje, crosses into Slovenia at Plovanija/Sečovlje, joins the Slovenian highway briefly, then enters Italy at Fernetti or Rabuiese. All borders are Schengen — typically a 30-second show-and-go. Bring your passport (or national ID for EU citizens).
